The hardest week
of my life.

Just over two years ago, I went through the hardest week of my life. A few days later, I met David from Samurai Success.

I'd spent years interviewing over 300 of the world's leading thinkers — Bruce Lipton, Neale Donald Walsch, Nicole LePera, Gary Chapman. I thought I understood this kind of work. I was wrong. Knowing and living are two completely different things. I had to be told to put the pen down.

What followed were two years of doing — not studying. And everything changed.

It's worth saying plainly. This isn't a weekend workshop. Here's why the length matters — and answers to the questions we hear most.

Real change takes time

The patterns this work addresses were laid down over years. A consistent weekly practice across 48 weeks gives them somewhere to go — and gives you time to integrate what shifts.

The group carries you

The cohort is small deliberately. The relationships formed within it become part of the process. You won't be doing this alone.

You're not locked in

If life changes significantly, speak to Ryan. Specific terms will be set out clearly before you join anything.

No. The showcase call is a genuine 30-minute presentation where Ryan and David walk through the programme in full and answer your questions. Nobody will ask for a credit card on the call. If you want to join after, there's a clear next step — and if you don't, that's genuinely fine.
The Swords of Illumination draws on philosophy, psychology, and a wide range of traditions. It isn't affiliated with any religion. You don't need to hold particular beliefs — the work meets you where you are.
Ryan leads every weekly session. David has personally trained and approved Ryan to deliver this work, is co-presenting the showcase call, and remains in close contact throughout the cohort. This isn't a franchise — David is genuinely invested in this going well.
No. Some participants will have done a great deal of personal development work. Others will be coming fresh. The programme is structured to work from the beginning regardless of where you start. Prior experience can sometimes make things more complicated — you may already have some patterns to unlearn.
Life happens. If your circumstances change significantly, speak to Ryan. The programme isn't designed to trap anyone, and terms around pausing or leaving will be set out clearly before you join.
